Investigating the Old Apostolic Church
THE OAC REVEALED is a forthcoming book examining the Old Apostolic Church’s history, authority and beliefs through its own documents and the experiences of people who have encountered it.
The investigation follows the OAC’s roots in the nineteenth-century apostolic movement and its development in South Africa. It explores teachings about apostles, Scripture, salvation, sealing, sacraments and Jesus Christ, asking how official statements compare with historical texts, biblical teaching and everyday explanations.
Confessions of faith, constitutions and catechisms form part of the documentary foundation. Testimony and conversations add a human perspective, while remaining clearly distinguished from official doctrine and the author’s interpretation. The aim is to make difficult questions understandable and help readers assess the evidence with care.
